About

So a little about myself.

I am a country girl born and bred. I love wide open spaces and having lots of room to grow. I am a wife, mother to an unstoppable little girl, and fur mom to two dogs. My lifestyle has given me opportunities to try my hand at so many different skills and hobbies. This has bled into all parts of my life. I am always open to new opportunities which has led to  varied life experiences.
I have had the opportunity to study and work in the oil and gas industry, finance and banking, sales, marketing and retail, event planning and management, communications, editing, and of course, agriculture.

I completed my Bachelors of Arts in CommELM Editing and VAunications from the University of Calgary, with a heavy focus on the sciences. I wanted to be able to communicate to multiple industries and living near Calgary, it seemed prudent to be fluent in areas such as oil and gas. I went on to expand my education by completing the Professional Editing Certificate from Mount Royal University. I love the written word, and helping others put a shine on their writing.
It was while working in these other professions that I realized that I wanted the opportunity to have a career that daily I get to assist people and business in a variety of industries. This led me to hanging up my own shingle and starting my own business of freelance editing and virtual assistance. This allows me to learn about a variety of businesses as I assist them in what endeavours their business is tackling. Variety is the spice of life after all!

I love that I get to look out my window at my beautiful country view while I work. This opportunity also allows me to be closer to my family, rather than spending time commuting. Any extra time I have you can find me camping, hiking, walking my dogs, or learning. My husband calls me the perennial student!
